Miranda rights for America’s enemies

Apparently the Obama administration has set it up that enemy combatants in Afghanistan are being given Miranda rights before they are taken in.  This means that they are given the right to silence, and the right to an attorney, which goes against everything any nation in the world think is correct.

No country would treat those that they are at war with to the same rights that their citizens enjoy.  Especially, when they are not within said country.

Along with these new procedures comes the idea that the “terrorists” will be under investigation by the FBI.  Even if they never stepped foot on US soil.

Under old procedures this sort of investigation would be conducted by the CIA, but apparently they can’t do a good enough job, per the administration.

This leads to a dangerous precedent of the FBI going outside the country to investigate supposed crimes against the US.  The CIA is there to protect the US from outside sources, and they have been rather productive at this task.  The FBI has no clue how to handle the covert ops needed, nor do they have the undercover people that you know the CIA does.

Does this also mean, that if the FBI wants to charge them with a crime the terrorists will be brought to the US and be held in our prison systems?  I’m thinking it does.

Next thing you know we are going to be sending the Topeka Police Department over there to take care of the terrorists.  This seriously is one of the stupidest things Obama has done.  At this rate I even miss President Clinton, he at least had some common sense when it came to foreign policy.

Go Topeka!!
