Apparently, the EU is thinking of restricting the speed of cars, as in having a device in the car that restricts the speed. Their reasoning is that it will save lives. While it is good when people don’t die, but if there is no independent actions can a life actually be considered living.
Also, would the cars allow speeding if you had an emergency? Would not the restriction mean that people would be slower in getting emergency help, which could also cost a life? There are many good and lawful reasons to go over the stated speed limit, restricting will inadvertently cause more harm than good.
This is one more good reason for the UK to abandon the EU, as if they needed more.
