While most of the time I don’t agree with Greenpeace’s methods, or policies, I do love that the some of the rank and file are starting a little revolt against its leaders. (Here’s a link for more details.) Whenever a group calls out their leaders for hypocrisy, it is a great thing.
Groups and people are judged by their actions, and if the actions do not match their public policies it will lead to a mockery of the very thing they espouse. Just look at Al Gore, no matter what you believe of his cause, his jet-setting life style and mansion that uses way too much electricity hurts the image. It also begs the question, is he a true believer, or is he only in it to personally profit?
So, lets raise a toast to the rank and file of Greenpeace, because they are the true believers. Even if you don’t like Greenpeace, you have to respect the true believer.
