Previously, I haven’t said who I would like to see as our president, but I might as well.
For the Democrats
I would love it if Bernie Sanders won the nomination and then the presidency, and here’s why…
- We don’t need another Clinton.
- Why not give socialism a try? It could be interesting.
- Hillary is a stick in the mud. Seriously, she is boring!
- At least Bernie wants to try new things. I’m always up for an adventure.
For the Republicans
I would love it if Donald Trump won the nomination and then the presidency, and here’s why…
- The Republican Party has been taking their voters for granted.
- Why not give protective nationalism a try? Hasn’t been tried in the 21st Century.
- Ted Cruz is a freaking Canadian and creepy looking!
- The world is scared, and it is fun seeing everyone freak out.
Beyond those two people, I don’t like anyone else, including the slimy Paul Ryan.
Let’s try something new, that’s what I think. The regular choices are boring, and will just keep us right where we are. Both Sanders and Trump talk a good game of helping the workers that used to be and are the backbone of the United States.
When Obama was elected it showed that the US wanted to change, and it has for the better in some ways. He let the world know that things were going to be different on the foreign policy front, and they have been. It’s time to continue that, both at home and beyond the border.
Nothing will get better if we keep the same people and policies.
