Poor old Bernie Sanders. Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean poor, because white people can’t be poor. 😉 I wonder if they can be old?
Bernie sure did put his foot in his mouth. Welcome to the dangers of speaking extemporaneously.
For those of you who don’t know what he said, it goes like this: white people “don’t know what it’s like to be living in a ghetto. You don’t know what it’s like to be poor.”
The only ridiculousness in this situation is not understanding the point he was trying to make. Look at his life people, that is the true measure of the man, and he has fought for everyone in his own way. But that doesn’t mean we can’t laugh at his mistake.
I wonder if there is a white guy slush fund that I don’t know about.
