File this under mind gymnastics:
An atheist friend of the Pope has said that the Pope thinks that there is no Hell, only Heaven. The immortal souls that don’t go to Heaven are apparently destroyed at death.
So much for immortal.
And a great quote from The Usual Suspects, “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”
This all begs the question, did the devil (if you believe in such a thing) just convince the Catholic Church that he doesn’t exist?
