For those of you who don’t know, the History Channel has a show that is called Life After People. The show is supposed to show what would happened to the world if humanity became extinct. Some aspects of the show are fine, as when they show what would happen to buildings and such if they weren’t kept up.
The major problem of the show how humanity became extinct, we just disappear into nothingness. I don’t know who came up with this idea, but whoever they are, they are stupid. Humanity would never just disappear without a trace. There are 6-7 billion people on the planet, and there is no way to have them all disappear.
If humanity actually became extinct it would either be slowly, or quickly. If it happens slowly, there will be people left to take care of things for awhile, i.e. shut down power plants, make sure dogs aren’t stuck in houses. The basic things would be taken care of in an orderly society. If it wasn’t an orderly society, there would be a mess left by the dying, because there would be looting wars, and many other problems.
Now, if humanity became extinct quickly, as in a matter of days, there would be a lot of food for the dogs and other pets to eat. Of course, this food would be us, but such is how things go. Also there would be dead bodies laying everywhere, as well as issues of fires from panic and other such things.
I know that the History Channel is trying to be informative, but the way humanity just disappears makes it a despicable display of ‘educational’ television. But then again the History Channel has never been accused of accuracy.
