Who are you trying to talk to?

A majority of the signs being uplifted in the Iranian protest are in English, or at least a local language and English.  This shows that they are trying to gain support from the western world.

Why is this?

Do they want help from the west?  Do they want help like those in Kenya and Zimbabwe?  Do they want power sharing?  What are they fighting for, is it new elections or is it a revolution over the revolution?

This makes no sense in the greater scheme of things.  For one thing the supreme leader is still there, and the mullahs are also still there.  If they just want a different president, then it shouldn’t matter to the world, because who are we to say who should be the leader.

The protesters should figure out who they are talking to.  If they want help from the west they should say so, but if they do they will be against the majority of the Iranians, because they hate the west.   Do they think that just because you run for office means that you get to have the office?

Or are the protesters  trying to talk to their fellow Iranians in order to create larger crowds?  If that is the case, they need stop using English, because it will drive a wedge between the protesters and the rest of Iran.

In the end though, the west should stay out, because it won’t do anything but harm the internal struggle, and those that are protesting should come up with a different way of communicating with their fellow Iranians, or they should get ready for armed conflict.  It has to be one or the other.  Now pick.
