Love me some skeptics

The following link is a good article, and it states the exact reasons why some people are skeptical of manmade global warming/change, whatever you want to call it.  It boils down to the models not predicting the future, and it is these models that the IPCC scientists rely on.  Einstein defined insanity as expecting different outcomes from the same actions, or something like that.  Either way, the models, and the newer models, and the newest models have shown that they cannot predict the global climate.  So would it not be insanity to base policy on those models?
This is not to say that we, through the scientists, should stop refining the models.  It is important to get the models right, so that we as a species can better understand the climate, and thereby limit our impact on it.  But how can a rational person believe something that is knowingly flawed.  Should we have faith that we will be right in the end, even without science proving it?  I think not.  I am a skeptic of everything, and therefore I need proof of everything before I accept it.  Is the global temperate rising, yes, is it rising fast, not so much, these are historical items, and are therefore beyond doubt.  Is man causing it, maybe, but how?  If so, is it the CO2, is it bigger cities that radiate more heat? Is it both, is it neither?  The models tell us which, but they haven’t been reliable, so why should we base all our actions and policies on them?
With this said we should also do things to help the environment, because we and our decendants deserve a world where we can thrive.  Any disruption to the environment should be mitigated, pollution, killing animals with turbines, and anything else that can be stopped.  Conservatives like to say that limiting pollution and what not creates more costs for businesses, but being good to our home in the universe is a cost that should always be an important part of business.  If this makes costs go up, then that is the price we must all pay.
